Northland sience road show

On Monday we did the Northland Science Roadshow. The first activity was called spectroscopy. We had to each get into groups of 2 and 3 then we each got given a box and a cd (short for compact disc). On the box was a slot and we had to put the disk in the slot and it made a rainbow. Next we put on some glasses and everything was a rainbow. Max explained all the colors and facts about a rainbow then he turned on a light and a line out of it. The next activity we did was called rockets in that we learned about the gases and waters we need to make the rockets shoot off. First we needed someone to pump the air in the bottle. Next we needed another volunteer and their job was to pull the trigger and that would push the air into the bottle and it blasted off. The next thing we did was instead of putting gas in it we put  just a little water in it because if we fill the whole bottle with water it won’t have any room for the gas to go in and it won’t blast off.

  1. Hi Samuel, it's Alexander. I liked that you used lots of punctuation in your post. I remember doing the Northland Science RoadShow.
